Do you love the game of football? If so, come and join the Woodridge Bulldog Youth Football gridiron family! Woodridge Rec offers flag football for students K-2nd grade and tackle football for students 3rd through 6th grade.
Flag Football:
Flag football is offered for students K-2nd grade. All teams and games are played on the Woodridge Campus in a fun and competitive environment to help young players learn the basics of football.
Tackle Football:
Tackle football is offered for students 3-6th grade. The Woodridge Youth Football program has 2 tackle football teams players can join. The C team consists of 3rd and 4th graders while the B Team consists of 5th and 6th graders. Each week both C and B teams play a “Varsity” game with the more experienced players followed by a “JV” game for everyone else on the team designed for all players to get playing time. The “JV” game is meant as an introductory game for new or younger players to have the opportunity to play against others with the same abilities. Woodridge Youth Football is a member of the Buckeye Youth Football Conference (https://www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?url=buckeyeyouth) competing against other C and B teams from schools/communities in the greater Akron area.
Our coaching staff, above all, values safety and fun as the top priorities. Our staff has years of football coaching experience from the youth level all the way up to Varsity football. Our goal is to teach the fundamentals of football, including understanding plays, the rules of the game, and proper blocking and tackling techniques in an environment each player feels comfortable and appreciated. Players will understand the value of teamwork, selflessness and hard work. Additionally, football has an amazing way of bringing the community together as parents, friends, and families will all feel a special bond of being part of a team. If you want to be a part of a great experience, please consider joining us this Fall as a member of the Woodridge Youth Football program!
Registration will open early this spring. A pre-participation physical must be signed by a physician before full contact practices.

2023 Summer and Fall Schedule
Big Dawg Camp: July 10th-July 12th details and registration opens Friday, May 12th. This is run by the High School Football staff and players.
Pre-Season Conditioning: Week of July 17th.
Equipment fitting dates: TBD
Season: The official start of the 2023/2024 season is July 24th. All players must have a physical completed prior to full contact practice.
